STRENGTHENING ROTARY

"สร้างภาพให้ฟื้น..ให้เฟื่องฟู ๒.๐"
Rotary District 330 Public Relations Seminar on August 17, 2013 at IMPACT Muangthong Thani |
BACKGROUND
Public Image has become one of the three major elements of Rotary Global’s strategy since July 2010 which result in an action plan to enhance public image and awareness of Rotary brand.
PDG. Chairat Prasertlam described how Rotary Public Image Coordinator can help club and district in Public Image Promotion. |
Before concrete launching of RI’s new website on August 26, 2013 which is considered the first implementing step in the process of Rotary’s Brand Revitalization program, District 3350 deems it is necessary to educate as many Rotarians as possible especially the PR Chair of all clubs to have the same basic understand of why branding is important and necessary for Rotary, an organization of 109 years old. It is equally important to learn the art of approaching and keeping the relationship with medias for the sake of long lasting cooperation to each other.
Aforementioned issues are missing subjects in PETS and District Assembly which require fulfilling by experts in the fields of respective businesses who should also have long years in Rotary. District 3350 Public Relations Committee is fortunate to have 2 prominent speakers, CP Narong Chivangkur (30 years Rotarian) and PDG. Prateep Singh Malhotra (Immediate Past Rotary Public Image Coordinator) to speak at its District Public Relations Seminar on 19-August-2013.
We had overwhelmed responses from participating audiences, and without doubt, the 110 attending Rotarians will have sufficient understanding to spread the knowledge throughout District 3350 and in Thailand.
PDG. Prateep Malhotra (D3340) delivered speech on "Media Relations" |
CP. Narong Chivangkur spoke on Brand Building and Strengthening. |

Short VDO summary
Summary of the Event
This is another time District 3350 Public Relations Seminar offered Out-of-the-Box approach in our District training experience. Programs contained in the seminar were not required anywhere in the training curriculum but made out of urgency. Although the primary objective is to prepare Rotarians for the change of Rotary’s focus on Public Image Strategy, audiences who are business entrepreneurs apparently gain an immense knowledge from the speeches given in the seminar.
The participants are generally satisfied with the organization of the event with strong LIKE on speakers and especially the concept of BRANDING. In addition, most audiences like the opportunity of sharing their comments and talent ( Q&A, and short speech contest) which suggest we should provide more of this program in the future.
